Universal Cable (Sarawak) Sdn Bhd (abbreviation : UCS) is a cable manufacturing company incorporated in Malaysia on the 9th July 1980 to undertake the business of manufacturing all kinds of electrical wires and cables and trading of ancillary accessories including switchgears. The shareholders are:- 1. Sarawak Energy Berhad (SEB) 2. Leader Universal Holdings Berhad (LEADER) 3. Central Paragon Sdn Bhd (CP)

Quality Achievement

Universal Cable (Sarawak) Sdn Bhd´s products comply with: - Malaysian Standard MS136:1995, MS274/95 - British Standard BS 125 and 6485; BS215/2/70 - ASTM B231-64 and JIS C3109-1978 - IEC 60502 UCS has obtained MS ISO 9001:2000 Quality Management Systems certified by SIRIM QAS International Sdn Bhd and United Kingdom Accreditation Service (UKAS). Scope of registration covers manufacturing of low voltage PVC and XLPE insulated power cables and aluminium conductors for electrical transmission and distribution. Our Research and Development Department is manned by qualified professional engineer and competent and experienced technical personnels. They are supported by independently calibrated testing equipments and facilities to make sure all products passed the stringent tests set by the authorities (both local and international) before delivery.
