City Valuers and Consultants was founded in 1982 in Kuala Lumpur by two chartered valuation surveyors after serving as Valuers in the Ministry of Finance’s Valuation Department. The firm was set up to provide mainly expert asset valuation services to corporate organisations who were going public and/or were acquiring land and development projects for injection into public companies, undertake compensation claims for landowners in the compulsory purchase of property by the government for various development purposes and to provide professional valuation services to the banking industry. Over time the business prospered and the firm branched into real estate and property management services for individuals, corporate clients and developers. Market research and feasibility studies are offered to developers who need to maximize the land use and profitability of their land banks and secure bridging finance from financial institutions. To date City Valuers and Consultants Sdn Bhd has a nationwide network with branches in Kuching covering East Malaysia and Penang which covers North Peninsular Malaysia and the head office in Kuala Lumpur which covers the central and South of Peninsular Malaysia. In 2011, City Valuers and Consultants Sdn Bhd formed a working association with the London firm of Grant Stanley, Chartered Surveyors to provide international real estate services. Our vision is to expand the firm internationally and in particular to develop valuation, real estate and property management services to a global stage.
