About Us HICOMI Limited Company (762556-W), a well-known manufacturer of noodles in Malaysia, produces as many as 34 kinds of noodles and other pasta with Udon Noodle, Soba Cool Noodle, Ramen, Wet Bihun, Wet Koey Teow, Chee Cheong Fun, Yellow Mee, Laksa and Loh Su Fun in particular, as its main products. The products are distributed to a number of states through a well-established sales network. It is one of the largest noodle suppliers in the country.
HICOMI Limited Company is situated at Jalan Pasir Putih, Ipoh, Perak while the noodle plant is in an industrial area at Sungai Siput, Perak. The business was first founded by Mr. Eric Y. P. Mun's grandfather half a century ago. During the initial stage, the business was operated in Sungai Buluh New Village under the name of "Kwong Houng".
During the 90's, Mr. Eric Y. P. Mun led "Hicomi Food Industries Sdn. Bhd." to a new milestone when he purchased a new factory in the industrial area in Sungai Siput. With the installation of new machineries, the factory began its process of industrialization. Under the modern and effective management, not only the market was further expanded, but also the factory was gradually transformed into a corporate business.
During the process of transformation into a corporate business, Mr. Eric worked hard at setting up a complete Value Chain to enhance the values of the different processes, overhaul the Logistics System in the production plant as well as to intensify the operations in production.
With the introduction of automation in the factory, Mr. Eric further diversified his ancestral business resulting in the production of more than 30 kinds of noodles and other pasta. The factory emerged as the first noodle factory in the state to produce "Udon Mee" with machines. After a series of reforms that stabilized the production, he adopted the brand name HICOMI for his products in 2007 and a new era has begun where all the operations are carried out under this brand name.
After several years of hard work and reforms, we have won the confidence of our customers with our quality and efficiency. HICOMI has also become a brand synonymous with 'confidence' to many food and beverage operators. The maturity we attained in various aspects further spurred us to expand our business overseas and to make HICOMI an international player in the industry.
