Rock Chemical Industries (M) Berhad ("RCI") was incorporated in Malaysia in January 1973 as a private limited company under the name Rock Chemical Industries (M) Sdn. Bhd. In November 1989, the Company converted into a public company and assumed its present name. In June 1990, RCI shares were listed and quoted on Bursa Malaysia Securities Berhad (formerly known as Kuala Lumpur Stock Exchange). Rock Chemical Industries (Malaysia) Berhad ("RCI") was delisted from the Official List of Bursa Securities with effect from 29 June 2012. Today, RCI is known as a Malaysia-based investment holding company. The Group is principally engaged in quarrying of limestone, processing and distributing industrial minerals, manufacturing of calcium silicate bricks, trading in building materials and chemical products, investment holding and provision of management consultancy services. The Group operates in Malaysia and sells its products and services in the domestic and international markets

RCI provides lime solutions by manufacturing different range of limestone based products and offer services suited only to our client′s requirements. The Company is committed to excellence in satisfying customer′s needs and strives for quality in everything we do. Quicklime Quicklime is produced by the thermal dissociation of limestone, a calcium carbonate mineral (CaCO3) by heating it to a high temperature (about 1,100°c) to separate and drive off the carbon dioxide (CO2) from the carbonate (CO3) molecule, leaving calcium oxide (CaO). This is called calcinations or burning Quicklime Powder Quick Lime Powder is a specially pulverized quicklime product for various industries such as mining, metallurgical, industrial, chemical and agricultural. Final product size is milled to less than 100-mesh or as per clients desired requirement. Hydrated Lime Hydrated Lime is the value added downstream product of quicklime. It is produced by introducing quicklime with sufficient water to convert the available oxides to hydroxides.
